ORIGIN HISTORY:
Panama has become one of the world's most respected coffee-producing countries, earning its reputation through meticulous farming practices and an unwavering focus on quality over quantity. The volcanic slopes surrounding Volcán Barú provide fertile soils, cool mountain temperatures, and frequent cloud cover, creating an ideal environment for growing exceptional specialty coffee. It is here that the Geisha variety has flourished, captivating coffee enthusiasts with its extraordinary floral aromatics and elegant cup profile.
FARM PROCESS:
This coffee was grown at Barú Black Mountain Estate in the Chiriquí Highlands of western Panama. Situated on the slopes of Volcán Barú, the estate benefits from nutrient-rich volcanic soils and a climate that encourages slow cherry development, allowing sugars and complex flavors to mature naturally before harvest.
Only fully ripe cherries are hand-picked before being carefully washed processed. Removing the fruit prior to drying allows the coffee's natural elegance and clarity to shine, resulting in a cup that is remarkably clean, vibrant, and expressive. The combination of careful cultivation, thoughtful processing, and the unique terroir of the region produces a Geisha that beautifully showcases why Panama has become synonymous with world-class specialty coffee.
CUP PROFILE:
Elegant and aromatic, this Geisha opens with delicate notes of orange blossom and fragrant jasmine before bright citrus sweetness emerges throughout the cup. Its silky body and tea-like character are complemented by a crisp, refined acidity that creates a clean, lingering finish. Every sip highlights the remarkable balance and floral complexity that has made Panamanian Geisha one of the most celebrated coffee varieties in the world.
